I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
